Best spells to upgrade

Start with the spells that control a crowd. An upgrade that lets Levioso lift a second enemy, or makes Incendio spread, turns a duel into a plan. Disarming and stunning upgrades that add damage or spread to nearby foes are the next tier — they convert defense into offense.

Leave the situational picks for last. A spell you cast once per dungeon does not deserve an early talent. The ancient-magic and plant upgrades are strong but narrow; take them when the core four — control, fire, force, and a finisher — already feel good. The best upgrade is the one you notice every thirty seconds.
