Does house choice matter?

Your house changes the common room you sleep in, the outfit trims, and exactly one quest chain early in the story — each house gets a different route to the same plot point. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff each have a distinct first hour and a companion who leans their way.

After that, the game is the same game. Classes, the main path, the highlands, and the ending do not branch by house. Pick the room you want to come home to and the colors you want to wear. The exclusive quest is a pleasant afternoon, not a second playthrough’s worth of story — though it is the best reason to roll a second student.
