Slytherin
A house with a talent for strategy and a dungeon for a common room. Ambition is the public word. The more interesting one is selectivity: who is allowed in, and what that choice costs.
A reading of the values
The stories use this house as a home for cruelty and as proof that cunning is not the same thing as villainy. Reading it well means holding both. A parlor vote is not a verdict on anyone's character.
