Norbert the Norwegian Ridgeback

Did you notice?

An illegal dragon in a wooden hut is Hagrid’s flaw at full size. The comedy (a biting baby, a plan involving friends with a crate) sits next to expulsion-level risk. Students keep adult secrets badly. The chapter also moves pieces off the board: a dragon leaves, and so does a bit of alibi.

Foreshadowing

Dragons return as regulated spectacle, not pets. Hagrid’s ‘just this once’ pattern is the thing a later hearing will punish more publicly than the friends do.

This echo points at book 4. It is a reading note, not a quote.
