Obliviate
A memory charm. It edits what a person can recall, which the books treat as both tool and injury.
Obliviate removes or blurs memory. Officially it tidies accidents so the ordinary world does not have to absorb a dragon in a backyard. Unofficially it is a way to damage a mind. The novels let both uses stand, which makes the charm harder to file under ‘useful school magic.’
This note does not explain how to cast it. The moral shape is the entry: a spell that decides what someone is allowed to remember.
