Arthur Weasley
A ministry wizard who likes Muggle objects and underestimates how much his curiosity annoys his employers.
Arthur works in a dusty office concerned with misuse of ordinary objects. He is fascinated by plugs. He is also a decent father in a government that gets less decent as the series goes on. The books use him to show a wizard who does not think non-magical people are a failed draft of humanity.
He is poor by wizarding standards and rich in children. Both facts annoy the Malfoys, which the story enjoys.
