Student, then shopkeeper
Fred Weasley
One half of the twin joke shop. A Gryffindor who treats rules as raw material.
Fred and George are a single weather system for several books: fireworks, sweets that misbehave, and a loyalty to Harry that does not ask the staff for permission. Fred is the twin the narration often lets speak first. Separating them too neatly is a reader’s habit the early books do not require.
They leave school on their own terms to sell the joke the castle tried to confiscate. That exit is a small manifesto about who gets to define mischief.
Later in the story
Fred’s death in the last book is a grief the epilogue does not repair. The joke shop chapters are the ones to love before you are asked to lose him.
Family sketch
The Weasleys
Arthur, Molly, and their seven children. Bill, Charlie, and Percy are named here so the row is true. They do not all have full profiles yet.
