Narcissa Malfoy
Draco’s mother. A Black by birth, a Malfoy by marriage, and someone whose loyalty runs to her son before it runs to a dark lord.
Narcissa is easy to file as Lucius’s wife and miss. She is proud, afraid for her child, and related to Sirius without sharing his rebellion. The family tree on this site is a sketch; she is one of the names that makes the sketch honest.
Canon fact: she is Bellatrix’s sister and Draco’s mother. What she does with a lie at the end is a last-book choice. The early page stops at the family.
Later in the story
Her lie in the forest is a turning point told in the final novel. It is love as treason, and it is not summarized fairly in a sentence. Read it there.
