Alohomora

A charm for locked doors. It opens some of them, and teaches that not every lock is meant to be casual.

Alohomora is the student’s answer to a closed door. Early on it feels like a master key. Later the books make clear that serious locks laugh at a first-year charm. That gap is the point. The school allows a little trespass and still keeps vaults, wards, and rooms that want a different permission.

Use the name as a glossary hit, not as advice. Breaking a lock in a story is a plot. Doing it in a building is a crime.
