Thunderbird
A huge bird whose wings can call weather. An American magical school treats it as more than cargo.
A thunderbird is large enough to be a weather event. The wings are the point: storms follow the flight. In the creature films an American school regards the bird with a respect European ministries do not always extend to beasts, and a magizoologist’s plot turns on setting one free over a city.
Label: the storm-wing is the creature’s reputation in the bestiary tradition the films use. The city sequence is film plot, not a novel chapter. This journal does not own a field guide and does not reprint one.
