Hospital wing
Bones, boils, and the nurse who has seen every excuse.
The hospital wing is where Quidditch, curses, and bad luck become beds. Pepperup and Skele-Gro belong to this room’s inventory. It is also a place the plot uses when a character must be out of the way and still in the castle. Madam Pomfrey’s patience is a recurring resource.

Peeves smashes one cabinet as a favour in book two. A bully vanishes into it in book five and comes back with a story. By book six, Draco Malfoy has turned the pair into the hole in Hogwarts' defences.
- Contested readingWas Scabbers hiding in plain sight from the first book?
